KROSSWINDZ - bangla folk/fusion band from Kolkata
The 6-member Krosswindz band from Kolkata is touring 5 major cities in the U.S. during the pujas - don't miss their show at GSPC on Sat Oct 13th.
In an era of Bangla bands, Krosswindz has carved out a niche with their soulful and lyrical music.  Their style is a progressive fusion of rural Indian folk with world music.  The band rose to eminence playing at major college festivals and stadium concerts and touring all over India and abroad.  Led by Vikramjit (lead guitar, backup vocals, songwriter & producer), the band features Chandrani on lead vocals and Ratanjit on keyboards, accoustic guitar, mandolin and other folk instruments.
Gayatree Sarma, Bidip Sinha & Group - traditional and modern Bengali/Hindi songs
Trained in classical music, Gayatree has a rich repertoire of Bengali, Hindi and Assamese songs.  She has performed in many concerts in India and the U.S.  She will be accompanied by a band of musicians led by Bidip Sinha, an accomplished tabla player.
